Its been sitting there for over 2 weeks and i sent it EXPRESS MAIL. Been emailing ANDREW CHAN and no reply, i gave him all the info to contact their customs. im just venting over here guys coz im worried about my X1 being stuck in SINGAPORE CUSTOMS. Anyone here who had service in singapore had the same issue? Thanks.
Advertisement Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Hi yagit80, Take a look here Leica Singapore Repair Service. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
phancj Posted February 9, 2012 Share #2 Posted February 9, 2012 From my experience the entire team including Andrew is a class act, but I think Andrew's job isnt to contact customs, it's the courier's duty to deliver. Just saw your post you used express mail...hmmm....wouldnt do that if I were you. No way to track shipment. Should have used DHL, UPS, whatever courier company that allows tracking... yagit80 Posted February 9, 2012 Author Share #3 Posted February 9, 2012 Yes it has tracking and insurance. Finally got an email from them that custom will release it tomorrow. And will give me a call as soon as its delivered. I just got too worried coz its was sitting in customs for over 2 weeks and no one from Leica contacted me that custom is holding it. Coz i believe that customs contacted them about a package that's addressed to them. But i hope it's all good now as per their email today.

tc4237 Posted February 9, 2012 Share #5 Posted February 9, 2012 CJ, will i need to come up with an excuse if i wanna send my x1 for service just before warranty expires? i'm thinking of getting it checked, just for the sake of it, but am also worried that it will return with problems (e.g. dust in lens/sensor and failing pop-up flash). any advise? phancj Posted February 10, 2012 Share #6 Posted February 10, 2012 I dunno, mine had dials that were slightly loose (as it was when I bought the camera) and everything was resolved. I do not see the need for any excuse though. HAving the camera sent in before expiration of warranty is prudent, I do it for almost all electronics stuff I buy. yagit80 Posted February 20, 2012 Author Share #7 Posted February 20, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just got it back from Leica Service Singapore and ABSOLUTELY AWESOME JOB from them!!! They replaced the whole flash unit and even replaced the whole leather wrap to a new one then cleaned and calibrated. ALL UNDER WARRANTY!!! It's just the custom held up that made me panic and worried for almost 2 weeks but nonetheless LEICA SERVICE SINGAPORE is PERFECT in my book!!! Big thanks to Ms. ADELINE LAU.
