Tim B Posted January 26, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted January 26, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I haven't seen mention of this on the forum - if there has been, my apologies for duplication. Â I went to the Arnold Newman exhibition at the Chris Beetles Photographic Gallery (Swallow St. nr Picadilly Circus, London) today - I've been meaning to go for days. Â If you are a fan of his, this is a great show with many original prints (with 5 figure prices!). I love his sense of composition and he made portraits of many leading artists and other notables. Not all are technically good - there is e.g. a quite fuzzy one of a young Henri Cartier-Bresson, but they are still great portraits. There are one or two non-portraits as well, also worth seeing, I think. Â You can see them online, Chris Beetles Fine Photographs Gallery London | photographs for sale but there is nothing like seeing them in the flesh. Â This is a good gallery IMHO and worth keeping an eye on. It is an offshoot of the original Chris Beetles Gallery in Mayfair that used to hold interesting photographic exhibitions which became so popular that they expanded. You can ask to be notified by email of forthcoming exhibitions. Â Tim
