sinjun Posted January 16, 2012 Share #1 Posted January 16, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Anyone know of a UK supplier of the Giottos SP8250 AEGIS? - I've heard that this is the best LCD protector for the M9, but would be interested to hear if anyone thinks otherwise. Thanks in Anticipation, Edward
Advertisement Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Hi sinjun, Take a look here UK Giottos SP8250 supplier?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
hoppyman Posted January 16, 2012 Share #2 Posted January 16, 2012 Edward I used this on my M8 and now on my M9. I think that it works very well. I don't know about a UK distributor but why not just buy one on-line from a US source? That's what most of the world does A quick Google search shows that all of the big guys list them (BHPhoto, Amazon, Adorama etc) I often buy accessories especially from Popflash in California. Their service is superb.
gabriel Posted January 16, 2012 Share #3 Posted January 16, 2012 I have used these for some time and they are excellent. The UK importer seems to ignore the SP8250 and I have obtained them the last few times from the USA via ebay, where they are cheaper than the UK inspite of the postage costs. I was not charged any duty or VAT because of their low value.
microview Posted January 17, 2012 Share #4 Posted January 17, 2012 Warehouse Express lists others but not the one you want: mostly back order anyway. But in the US B&H Photo Video Digital Cameras, Photography, Camcorders shows the one you need and it's in stock – why not try them? BTW there's another thread with some useful (?) comment: <Giottos SP8250 AEGIS Professional Glass Optic Screen Protector for LEICA M8>

sinjun Posted January 17, 2012 Author Share #6 Posted January 17, 2012 Thanks all, and especially Gabriel for finding that UK supplier. A bit pricey but I prefer sourcing domestically.
