rpsawin Posted January 14, 2012 Share #1 Posted January 14, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have tried two formatted sd cards in my M8 and get the following message: Attention SD-Card Full I have taken the battery out and even swapped the battery. Does anyone know what is going on? Thanks in advance, Bob

tobey bilek Posted January 14, 2012 Share #2 Posted January 14, 2012 Format them in computer and again in camera. Word of advice is never to erase images, only reformat the card. When my new to me M8 arrived , I got the very same message 50%of the time when I switched on. I would turn off/on to cure it. Problem stopped after a few weeks. I have also had way fewer issues if I dedicate a single card to the camera. I put in a Lexar 16 GB and never use anything else. I have bought large cards for every camera and never interchange them. I also got the new Lexar card reader and all kinds of downloading issues went away. Throw away the $15 ones. Or download from the camera and then EJECT. And make sure you EJECT rather than just pull out a card or disconnect a camera. This will mess you up too.
rpsawin Posted January 14, 2012 Author Share #3 Posted January 14, 2012 Tobey, Thank you for your reply. I have been using these two cards for 18+ months with no problem. I always format them in the camera and not in the computer. This problem has just started. I've pulled the battery and will let it sit overnight. Hopefully the camera will function normally when I put the battery back and start it up. Best regards, Bob
