Thanks much, William.

The 28/2 was responsible for this one.

But here's another taken with the nocti (at f/1.4 if I remember well) during the same occasion.

Dirk,

Thanks! I forgot you used the RD-! with a 1.5 crop which obviously accounts for the DOF. Shapes hold together in the OOF more with the newer ASPH's and the difference is obvious compared to your Nocti shot above.

Klaus and William,

Thanks much for your input.

The nocti on an R-D1 is really a nice lens, even if it isn't easy to focus.

Whereas on an R-D1 it functions as a 75mm, on the dM it will be 66,50mm, a strange number, but who cares.

As you remarked, William, there is a considerable difference indeed in the way these lenses draw.

Sometimes I think I prefer the asph., but I'm not sure.

Perhaps I should once try the 50/1.4, isn't it, William? ;-)

Hello Dirk,

I very much like this shot. But it's not only the bokeh, but also the colours and the slight fuzziness which overlays this picture as well as the nice expression on the face of your protagonist that makes this picture a joy to look at.

Regards, C.
