New Black M8 available -- and lenses in short supply

My dealer just informed me he has a Black M8 available (Boston).

He also informs me that:

1. An incredible increase in the price of some gas that is used in the manufacture of one of the elements in the 'Nocti is responsible for the $1500 price increase in the lens.

2. He cannot beg, borrow, or steal Leica lenses.

 

I don't know how many of the M8's are being sold, but Leica has clearly saved their butt with this camera. Now that M8's are finally beginning to appear, no lenses.

 

I asked the guy if he got one of the new pancake 28's with the camera -- no. As it happens, he just got the extra battery I ordered with the M8.
