Double Negative Posted December 29, 2011 Share #3 Posted December 29, 2011 ^ Hehe, "reboot." Also make sure the rear dial isn't in a funky position. But I think a fresh battery should be the biggest help.
lincoln_m Posted January 4, 2012 Share #4 Posted January 4, 2012 It could be the DX reader problem. I've taken to manually setting the ISO on the back dial and now I don't get the crazy shutter speeds bouncing about. It might also be oxide on the battery connections, so cleaning the batteries and checking for any corrosion is also worth trying. If it is the DX reader messing up the meter then (like mine) we need to find time to send it away to be fixed with a replacement optical one if we can do without for a couple of months. I can note I had different issues with a replacement with the newer optical DX reader, but it was fixed after a trip back home to Germany. The price you pay for buying second hand? Never had issues with any other Leica camera model, most of which were second hand.
