Your Old Dog Posted December 14, 2011 Share #21 Â Posted December 14, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) My guess is he's made the post, sold it outside of ebay and doesn't know how to withdraw the offering. Â I have started an auction, sold the item outside of auction and had to edit the post to reflect a ludicrous bid just to keep anyone from bidding on it. Â I once read a post where the guy admitted the price was ridicules but did it so everyone would see the item so they would know to watch for it when he re-posted it at regular bidding. This way he attracts more bidders in a shorter period of time.

adan Posted December 14, 2011 Share #22 Â Posted December 14, 2011 Someone brought a nice Rollei F3.5 into the shop yesterday - not to sell, just wanted to know what his late father-in-law's camera was, and was worth. Â We researched the value, and found that it was worth $500-650 - UNLESS it had the box in good condition (his did), in which case it was worth $2000. Such is the world of collectibles.
