Guest magyarman Posted February 21, 2007 Share #21 Â Posted February 21, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) The availability of M8s from stock at more than one dealership suggests that supply has finally caught up with demand ... what happened to all those people on the waiting lists? How did the six-months to a year backlog get satisfied in less than four months? And what are the implications of this for Leica? Hmm... Â Nothing worry! Guys who love so much M8 gonna buy each one himself 5 more so no prablem happen with Leica
Guest magyarman Posted February 21, 2007 Share #22 Â Posted February 21, 2007 I, for one, have had several opportunities to purchase another black M8 in the last 3 - 4 weeks. But until Leica IR filters are readily available, firmware upgrade is released and tested, and some kind of assurance that Leica has the "sudden death" issue under control, I'm in no particular hurry. Â Perhaps there are more like me out there who aren't ready to jump in (again) just yet? Â Chhhh! You mast to only thing sensible, never to tell so someone can to hear, ora M8 Police gonna take you away

ken_tanaka Posted February 22, 2007 Share #32 Â Posted February 22, 2007 As of 8:30 pm (Central) B&H still has black M8's in stock. Â This suggests to me that the M8 pre-order/early adopter frenzy has come to an end. Now it's time to see if the camera is strong enough to survive in the ongoing market place. Guest guy_mancuso Posted February 22, 2007 Share #33 Â Posted February 22, 2007 I agree we will see what happens now. I think some folks are waiting for the new firmware to be installed and properly working overall. Some folks are not that keen on B&H too, people still like to go in there local store and since there is no mark up from 4795.00 here in the states than they may feel more comfortable with there brick and mortar stores. That makes sense to buy in your home town. Funny they never lasted that long on B&H site, I tried to order two several months ago and it never went to final shipping, someone must have hit the button just before me.
