Half-Handed Posted February 21, 2007 Share #21  Posted February 21, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi Katerina, It all depends on what your friend intends to photograph. While I'm probably going to get "shot" here on the forum for saying this, why not look at the C-Lux 1. It is a great little camera for daily shooting, produces great colours and smooth looking files. It does have its limitations. I have retired my Canon Ixus 40 (Digital Elph in the US) and now make use of the C-Lux 1 (I find that I'm also using my Canon DSLR less and less). I can assure you that I'll still carry the C-Lux 1 with me when my M8 finally arrives (hey its only 5 weeks to go!).  Andreas  Anyone else have any feedback on the C-Lux? I'd quite like a day-to-day compact digital, is the C-Lux worth it?
ckthual Posted February 21, 2007 Share #22  Posted February 21, 2007 I'm quite pleased with my DLUX-3, even more since I'm using Lightroom with the raw files, it can do miracles with burnt areas... My first pictures are visible here : http://www.flickr.com/photos/thual/sets/72157594487182835/ Here's one picture + 100% crop Welcome, dear visitor! peterv Posted February 21, 2007 Share #23 Â Posted February 21, 2007 ...The flash is very anemic and would either be too weak if you were very far from the subject or it would overpower the subject if you were too close... Â Well, that's the nature of every flash device in the world. Â Anyway, I've made 10.000 photo's with the d lux 2, and it never disapointed me.
