fWord Posted December 2, 2011 Share #41 Posted December 2, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) When I finally decided to buy an M8.....its really a greate little camera. Yes it is slow. Yes it is not digitally advanced. Yes it writes slowly to memory card. Yes its not full frame. The M8 is not that bad, really. Before my Canon 1Ds MKI (which many Canon users like to call the 1Ds 'Classic') died and the M8 came along, it was my favourite camera (the other camera in my stable is the Fuji S5, produces lovely images too). And the 1Ds is slow as a tugboat when compared to the M8. However it is a full frame camera. I liked the 1Ds for many reasons, but boy, it was definitely a slow camera made for 'deliberate' use...like shooting film really.
Advertisement Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Hi fWord, Take a look here Do you now regard the M8 as a Classic?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
graeme_hutton Posted December 6, 2011 Share #42 Posted December 6, 2011 It is not a classic but belongs to a family which is. i.e The Leica Rangefinder is a classic type - still copied to this day. imho. G
