My wife was born in 1947 and was told she is a Fire Pig when we lived in Malaysia - I was born in 1941 and am told I'm an Iron Snake. Robert, you are well-read or have you lived in east Asia before? Just a little history ... in ancient China, the pig is so important to a typical home that even the Chinese character for "home" has a pig embedded in there. It's almost analagous to having a car in our home in a typical American household, though I don't think the pig was involved much in transportation during those days.
