pauledell Posted October 23, 2011 Share #6 Â Posted October 23, 2011 An excellent tour through the woods to take in the autumn colors and atmosphere. Don't you love the scents from the trees and leaves as they fall to the ground? Â Paul
sfage Posted October 23, 2011 Author Share #7 Â Posted October 23, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks for popping in guys ! Â It's difficult to do "something"... "anything"... different when shooting landscape work. Normally, I don't shoot landscapes but I have a show coming up and unfortunately, it's quite conservative. It has to be 'somehow' representative of Alberta. On top of that, we all have to make a living, right? All this camera, scan and print lab junk "ain't gonna pay for itself". Â I wanted to aim for a different kind of three-dimensionality. Well, it's not "that" different, it's just an imposition (upon myself) of a shallow depth-of-field, in the extreme. The interesting thing about it is: "that ONE inch" plane of in-focus space gives the sense that the leaves float within that space, in such a way that they appear -on a subconscious level- to not be physically connected to anything else in the image.
