Your Old Dog Posted October 19, 2011 Share #1 Posted October 19, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Maybe someone has a suggestion for me. I purchased a M9, downloaded 1 free copy of LR from Leica website and downloaded my upgrade to LR3 from Adobe. This was installed on my notebook computer. The screen cracked on my notebook, I ordered a replacement and can't get it working. The computer is essentially dead because of the screen. I would like to have the LR liscense for that machine cancelled and shifted to my new computer. I spoke with Adobe and they tell me they can't help because they don't have my serial number or liscensing info as I got it from Leica? Adobe wants $299 for another copy Any suggestions as to how to get around this would be appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Ray......... Bill Allsopp Posted October 19, 2011 Share #2 Posted October 19, 2011 Before I install downloaded software I burn a copy to CD so I have the disc to re-install from.

pico Posted October 19, 2011 Share #4 Posted October 19, 2011 Oh if we could only rewind time. I sat on my open notebook, and broke the screen. I just plugged an inexpensive monitor into it to grab the items I had not backed up. If you still have your laptop, perhaps you could do the same thing.
