Paolo.Battista Posted October 7, 2011 Share #1 Posted October 7, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm experiencing a front focus problem with my Digilux 3. It's a very repeatable problem, since when using any of mine R lenses (via Novoflex adapter) and using the foocus confirmation in the viewfinder, I have always the focus setted some centimeters before the zone that I have focused. For now I'm using the liveview when working with lenses at large apertures, but that's not the fastest thing one can do. Any experience in having the Digilux 3 AF recalibrated by Leica assistance? Does it worked? Sorry for the question, since the Digilux 3 is not the latest camera on the market and its current value is not really huge, how much I have to expect to pay for a recalibration by Leica? mjh Posted October 7, 2011 Share #2 Posted October 7, 2011 If the error is specific to R lenses used with an adapter, there wouldn’t be anything in the AF mechanism that Leica (or Panasonic) could fix. It would be a different matter if there was a systematic front focus with AF lenses. Focusing based on the live view image looks like the best solution.
