arthury Posted February 15, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted February 15, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) This is one of the few from my use of PhaseOne ... I must say that UI is quite counter-intuitive to me. The Process feature seems like a concept that came from film development days. The sharpening under the Foucs tab has an impressive algorithm which USM but does not exaggerate the noise ... nice. joern Posted February 15, 2007 Share #5  Posted February 15, 2007 Arthur,  thats the concept of C1 since the beginning. I am using C1 since i bought a H20 in 2000 and later the P25 MF digital backs. And i love it. Believe me, if you spend a little mor time with this piece of software you will love it, too and never look back. It does such a nice job on M8 files. Check out the "extra shadow tone curve". Btw, your pictures are outstanding. The don´t look like you are foolin`;-) The Biogon seems to be a nice lens. I just bought the 2.8/21 asph. and i can´t believe how good this is.  Cheers  jørn

And at least the LE version has several bugs: • constantly changing the date in the EXIF by one hour; PhaseOne can’t fix it... • localization to German very badly done (mixture of languages in the layover text) • using the HELP menu in LE leads to the manual of the PRO version... even more confusing • want to download the manual of the LE version from their website - there is only an English version  It’s a NIGHTMARE!  @jørn I know and respect the quality of the program itself. But a UI is good if you don’t have to spend a lot of time to love it! Unfortunately my experience with the program and (this would be another story) with their "userfriendly" support makes me believe that there are a lot of technicians at work but nobody who cares for the customer as a USER.  So I don’t believe that the new version 4.0 will be much better (LE 4.0 was annonced for February).  Best Holger
arthury Posted February 15, 2007 Author Share #7 Â Posted February 15, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) The sad thing is that the upcoming new profile that takes the IR filters into consideration is *only* for the PhaseOne. Â Anyone heard anything that there will be support for Adobe products? Â I guess Leica is bound by the EU governing laws to *only* use EU products to accompany its products as an official supporting software.
