stickan1 Posted September 22, 2011 Share #1 Posted September 22, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I was playing with a wide angle and long shutter speeds, 2 seconds for this one. Tripod and ND-filter.
Advertisement Posted September 22, 2011 Posted September 22, 2011 Hi stickan1, Take a look here Ferns and water. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pauledell Posted September 22, 2011 Share #2 Posted September 22, 2011 Stig, I like the composition with the fern playing with the reflection, muted colors, light and sharpness but there seems like there is something left out. Paul
daveleo Posted September 22, 2011 Share #3 Posted September 22, 2011 I think this is a very nice effect, and a pleasant image, but I agree with Paul . . . if it were one of my images, I would say "there is no punchline to this one".
stickan1 Posted September 24, 2011 Author Share #4 Posted September 24, 2011 Thanks Paul and Dave for your comments which I understand. The published image is, for me, experimental or rather an attempt to move in a direction of more abstract and intimate landscapes. But I had a too large aperture. I think that with a smaller aperture and even longer shutter time it would have been better. Here is another image, taken a couple of minutes earlier that shows the whole river, more classic landscape.
