maccaco Posted September 22, 2011 Share #1 Â Posted September 22, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I just purchased a Canon 50 1.4 LTM in very good condition. The lens is outstanding, the performance is really good, but I have a doubt (not a concern). Â The ring (of apertures) is very slightly loose, and the focus ring as well. Almost not noticeable when moving the camera but is noted a minimum displacement, almost inperceptible ... Â Is this normal for a lens of 50 years? brianv Posted September 22, 2011 Share #2 Â Posted September 22, 2011 I have a canon 50/1.4- just checked it. aperture ring is not loose at all. Focus has very slight slop in it, not enough to affect close focus though. There are some internal retaining rings that need to be tightened every so often. Sounds like a CLA would probably help yours. Â My Canon 50/1.4 on the M8: Â http://www.ziforums.com/album.php?albumid=
