with this new lens the camera looks less like a grandpa's thing, but, due partly to the shade, more like the chunk of technology that it realy is:o .

first photo's reveal that this frame will give more "story" to my subjects, just because it puts them in a larger context than the 35 mm.

package arrived today, less than a week after payement.

I have F-pro filters and am not seeing any vignetting. Haven't heard anyone complain here, either, and the posters are not shy.

I believe the one I got for the 75 'lux is a slim filter. It appears that this means no outer screw fitting, and therefore a slightly shorter housing, but the increase in housing size for the pro is at the outside of the ring, to supply the threads.

I have a regular 'f-pro' filter on my 24mm. I had to file about 0.1mm off the filter in the areas where the alignment notches on the shade engages the front of the lens in order to get the shade to snap on completely. No vignetting that I can find. The difference in the OD of the filter is puzzling because all the other B+W filters I use with this lens all fit fine.with the shade.(yes, they all have threads on the front.)

I am glad that no one has noted vignetting with the F-Pro filters.

Schneider states that some 24mm lens will have vignetting and others will not so I guess we are lucky. I looked at my slim Uv and noted that the ring is slightly wider than the F-Pro and this explains why the lens hood could not be positioned correctly. Anyway, the fact that the F-Pro doesn't cause vignetting is the critical determiant here!
