mafoofan Posted September 3, 2011 Share #1 Posted September 3, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) After a couple of hours calling authorized Leica dealers all over the U.S., I found four new 50mm Summilux lenses in stock. One would have been mine if the original buyer didn't call by the end of the day. I turned down another because the dealer refused to negotiate the $300 premium he was charging. The other two were offered by the same shop at list price and not spoken for, so a friend and I bought both. Nowhere I called (30-40 shops) had the 35mm Summilux. So, don't despair: it can be done. carlmuck Posted September 3, 2011 Share #2 Posted September 3, 2011 I had my M9 and 75mm Summicron stolen on May. I was thinking of upgrading to the M9-p when I replaced it. I had put interest notices with a number of dealers. Just yesterday I got a call from a big NY shop (Kurland) that had both the M9p and 75mm in! I guess that the lens gnomes have returned to work, as the 75mm APO-Summicron has been essentially unavailable for 8 months. I passed in the M9-p because just last week I got an M9 (3 months without my camera was becoming unbearable!), but did take the Summicron. So if your looking for an M9-P they had one as of 1:00 pm yesterday.
