One more stop after 22 (Elmar-C 90/4)?

Is it normal an one more stop after 22, or need a CLA? Is a Elmar-C 90/4 ...

Opinions?

Maccaco,

I have just read this here (post 4):

(...)

Beste Grüße! Lenn

It translates as follows (as good as I can):

"A specialty of many (Elmar 90/4, in this case; added by me) lens heads is that they can be stopped down considerably past the values on the scale, until an aperture of 45, without noticing recognisable unsharpness due to diffraction - often helpful in the macro range. Naturally it does only make sense with tripod and bellows."

Apparently, this was not rare with Elmar 90/4 lenses, perhaps your Elmar-C 90/4 lens shows that also Elmar-Cs can be stopped down further occasionally.

If you are only rarely using anything closer than 8 normally - like me, you likely shouldn't worry to much about it!

Thank you very much for the translation. I'm more relaxed now. Honestly, the lens is perfect but the detail and commented, to be honest, I usually shoot between 4 and 11 mostly
