edmond_terakopian Posted August 28, 2011 Author Share #5 Posted August 28, 2011 Shame, oh well. I did Tweet this as well so it could have been someone not on the forum, but on Twitter, or just a walk in customer! Edmond
marknorton Posted August 28, 2011 Share #6 Posted August 28, 2011 For a lens which was one of the few Leica designs with distinct flaws, I'm surprised.

Lord Fluff Posted September 1, 2011 Share #8 Posted September 1, 2011 For a lens which was one of the few Leica designs with distinct flaws, I'm surprised. Oh I'm *so* not surprised. I only got mine from Caplan's cos the guy who got there first had his card refused and in the instants while he tried another, I swooped I was prepared for the focus shift, but for me it's a non-issue. I use the lens in one of two ways - I want shallow DOF or need the speed, so f1.4 suits, and the results are frankly stunning. Or, I want sharpness in a lot of the picture, so I stop down to f5.6 or more - again, stunning. Perhaps if you really have a use for wide-ish apertures, it's a nuisance, but since I'm more 'either/or' it works a treat. Did I mention it's stunning?
