terry2336 Posted August 18, 2011 Share #1 Posted August 18, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm buying a collection of old cameras from an estate here. There are several good cameras but the most interesting is a Leica If, black dial, with a Chiyoko 85/2.8 Super-Rokkor lens and a canon viewer. The rangefinder on it is a Kisel, which I have never heard of. Serial number on the camera is 563042. I haven't seen it for a while since the seller was considering my offer. As I recall it is working and in pretty good shape. I'm not familiar with this Leica or the lens so any info will be much appreciated. I'll post pics when I get it. Advertisement Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 Hi terry2336, Take a look here picking up new cameras today. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
IkarusJohn Posted August 19, 2011 Share #2 Posted August 19, 2011 According to Mr Puts, that serial number was one of 2200 allocated in 1951. The next allocation for If cameras was in 1952, so fair to assume that camera was made in 1951. Cheers John
