Aperture vs. Lightroom - different question

I'm fairly new to my Leica M9. I've used Aperture in the past and now (obviously) have Lightroom. I now their both great tools that come down, for the most par, to personal preference...so I'm not asking to debate the functional merits...

I'm *very* colorblind and don't do a lot of fiddling with color per se. I'm wondering if one app over the other does a better job of rendering color fro RAW files, if one takes better advantage of the lens capabilities... Does LR have an advantage as Leica includes it? I need to put some blind faith in the raw color processing and do the rest of post from there. Do I gain anything by switching to LR?

Thanks for your thoughts,

Jeff

I'm sure both apps are equal in terms of the question as you put it. However, the control that both have overcolour conversion to monochrome may be very different. I use LR and Silver Efex Pro for B&W image manipulation and they atre ace. As long as you can see tonal/luminance variation I think either app woulkd be fine. Also you could make multiple versions of a particular shot guage which one worked best for your friends and make a preset for it, so every image was converted with the same basic settings.
