philipus Posted August 12, 2011 Share #1 Posted August 12, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everybody I'm looking around for M3 bodies and came across this one. But seeing the picture of the VF and the RF I wasn't so sure it is actually in good working order. Inside the VF there seems to be some dust or something at the bottom of the little window inside (ie I'm not referring to the brownish dust on the metal frame surrounding the outside of the VF, but the more yellowish inside the VF). Also the RF seems to have something in the lower right corner and possibly also along the left side. Or am I "seeing" things? Cheerio Philip
Advertisement Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 Hi philipus, Take a look here Does this photo indicate problems with the VF and or RF?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
andybarton Posted August 12, 2011 Share #2 Posted August 12, 2011 You're probably seeing a camera that could use a CLA Difficult to tell from that photo, though
StephenPatterson Posted August 12, 2011 Share #3 Posted August 12, 2011 I agree with Andy that it probably needs a CLA. How was the viewfinder described (clear, no artifacts?). Get a detailed description and make sure the seller will stand behind the condition of the camera. The condition of the vulcanite looks pretty good from the front (one small piece missing). philipus Posted August 12, 2011 Author Share #4 Posted August 12, 2011 I agree with Andy that it probably needs a CLA. How was the viewfinder described (clear, no artifacts?). I've actually been told that the camera has been serviced...The viewfinder was described as clear. Hmm, I feel it won't be this one. Thanks very much for your replies though. andybarton Posted August 12, 2011 Share #5 Posted August 12, 2011 Good idea. There are lots of good ones around. Patience is a virtue!
philipus Posted August 13, 2011 Author Share #6 Posted August 13, 2011 Yes patience is indeed a virtue. And a bit of luck , I guess, because, lo and behold, the same day I found one in much much better condition, which I decided to go for! Ex++ for not much more than the one I initially posted about, which is a C. Thanks for your help! Philip
