johnloumiles Posted August 11, 2011 Share #2 Â Posted August 11, 2011 Yes to the extra battery, you need almost two full charges to go through one 8GB card. I found one battery lasts 3/4 of a day of heavy shooting. Â Used viewfinders on eBay.

lykaman Posted August 11, 2011 Share #5 Â Posted August 11, 2011 Hi & Welcome, yes the X1 is a great piece of equipment.. Spend a little time reading the Manual, lots of tipsNtricks.. I pretty much use mine exclusively, occasionally my D300 sees daylight.. When my battery shows 1bar it last as long as the first 2 bars together! go figure! spylaw4 Posted August 12, 2011 Share #9 Â Posted August 12, 2011 Spare bettery - definitely - but can't recommend non-Leica ones. AYOR. Viewfinder also definitely. Read the manual and trawl through the threads here - lots of tips amongst them. Above all - take pictures and enjoy it - it's an amazing camera.
