Film jam in M6

I have a M6 classic, which I bought new sometime in the mid 90's. It has served me well, but the film sometimes got jammed mid roll. I've had this happen to the camera once before, but fixed it myself. The problem is, I don't remember how I did it :)

The problem is with the return spole/crank, makes it impossible to advance the film after a shot. A few counter clock turn, I can advance a few frames before it jam's again.

Anybody here know what's wrong and how to fix it? I hope I can do it my self, don't want to send it of....

Thanks,

danny

I've solved it. The tightening ring, under the rewind crank, was loose. Tighten it, and works like it should.

BTW there isn't much lube here to get stiff...

Hi

I normally remove any but some people use a lot...

Hi everybody,

I have M7 and I experience similar problems. It really looks like the whole metal cover of the camera on the side of the rewind crank is a bit loose. How I suppose to tighten the ring and should I try ?

Regards,
