delander † Posted July 21, 2011 Share #1 Posted July 21, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've been peeved for sometime that X-rite no longer support my Monaco Optix XR colorimeter, as it seems to be a very well made piece of equipment. I've just discovered a separate piece of software BasicColor which seems to support the Moanaco Optix XR. Does anyone have any user experience of BasicColor, it looks quite complex to me? Advertisement Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Hi delander †, Take a look here BasicColor. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
sandymc Posted July 21, 2011 Share #2 Posted July 21, 2011 Jeff, I've used the Windows version on an X-rite Eye-one. It worked fine for me, although early versions had a reputation for bugs. I compared to profiles from the X-rite software, as well as another vendor, and the Basiccolor profile was no better and no worse I seem to recall you can get a 30-day trial. Guest WPalank Posted July 21, 2011 Share #3 Posted July 21, 2011 Another solution is to go with Color Eyes Display Pro. Actually optimized to the Monaco XR. Not a cheap solution but the best in my opinion. Unlike many Forum members, I actually print and I get exactly what I see on my monitor.
