I changed my mind when I had a chance to play with one against the elmarit. It is MUCH bigger and heavier than the Elmarit and you would be very hard pressed to tell the difference between them in pictures from 2.8 onwards. In regards of the Summarit I will stay away from it not that is optically inferior but because of the resale value. You will lose money big time in case you want to trade in or upgrade later on. I have sold plenty of other lenses where I have lost money on them. Â I only sold it because I rarely use a 90 on an M, but there was nothing at all wrong with it optically. Ecar Posted July 10, 2011 Share #9 Â Posted July 10, 2011 I'd also consider a Cron 90/2 Pre-ASPH. I believe there's one for sale on the B&S section. More classic and less clinically sharp than the APO up to f/4 - hard to tell apart at f/5.6.
