Keith (M) Posted July 8, 2011 Share #1 Posted July 8, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Came across a 'Exc++' version for sale at GBP1300. Presumably this is quite a bit higher than new price but given the shortage of new 'Lux 35mm lenses and bearing in mind I would use it exclusively on an M7, how outrageous or not is such a price level? Advertisement Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Hi Keith (M), Take a look here 35mm Summilux (1987). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wattsy Posted July 8, 2011 Share #2 Posted July 8, 2011 Sounds quite a lot but nothing surprises me at the moment when it comes to lens pricing. I think there's a pre-aspherical 35 Summilux lens in the forum buy and sell for substantially more so £1300 might well be the going rate nowadays. andybarton Posted July 8, 2011 Share #3 Posted July 8, 2011 One of our forum sponsors has an older 35 Summilux for £1,300. It looks identical to one they sold me about 3 years ago, for £800. It's bonkers.
Lord Fluff Posted July 12, 2011 Share #4 Posted July 12, 2011 Bonkers or not, that is now the going rate - seems to have risen from around a grand a couple of months back. They fly off the shelves at £1200, so you can expect them to be £1500 by Xmas, if not more.

Lord Fluff Posted July 13, 2011 Share #7 Posted July 13, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I really should have bought one when they were £800 not so long ago. And don't even start on how Noctilux prices have rocketed in the past two years. I dithered over one at a little below 2 grand, dithered again at £2500, and now that ship really has sailed since they sell in seconds even at £4500......
