Advertisement Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Hi padraigm, Take a look here Dng files on android tablet. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
3rdtrick Posted July 8, 2011 Share #2 Posted July 8, 2011 Sorry but I have not found anything yet. Gallery locked up and required a reboot so I downloaded Photoshop Express and that does not even notice the DNG file. Mainly I just download completed JPGs from my laptop for viewing and Gallery does great for that. My plan for travel is to shoot in DNG+JPG so I can view on the tablet and download the DNGs to my laptop when I return. I am still waiting on my camera connection cable so I have not tried this yet. Maybe we will hear from others who may have had better luck. Pete
padraigm Posted July 8, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted July 8, 2011 Thank you So much Pete. Yeah I will try the same thing. When I am able to attach to my camera it will be interesting to see if I can get to the jpg's off the camera straight to the tablet.
3rdtrick Posted July 8, 2011 Share #4 Posted July 8, 2011 I think that is better as the DNGs would quickly fill up the tablet. Good to find other Android users on here. Pete
3rdtrick Posted July 9, 2011 Share #5 Posted July 9, 2011 I came yesterday and my cable was in the mail box... It is just a small adapter from the standard USB to the micro USB on the tablet. I connected it to the M9 using the original camera cable and set the camera for PTP in the menu. Gallery opened up when I connected and it took a few minutes to parse the full card but then asked me if I wanted to import. The import was fairly quick and it only brought the JPGs. I shot DNG + JPG basic because I only want to use the JPGs for the tablet. Hopefully I can get Lightroom on my laptop to only import the DNG files.
