loonger Posted June 23, 2011 Share #1 Â Posted June 23, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi guys, Â I have a black Leica X1 purchased several months ago. Recently I found that the "PLAY" button got a problem. Functionally it acts well. I push it and it gives the playback of the photo, no problem. But physically it loses the "snappy", "click" feel. It does not give the "click" feedback. Now it feels like it is sticked to the bottom; when pushed it never bounces back. Â Do you have such problem? If not then I guess maybe it needs a replacement or a repair.
Advertisement Posted June 23, 2011 Posted June 23, 2011 Hi loonger, Take a look here X1 users: Do you have such problem with the PLAY button on X1?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wda Posted June 23, 2011 Share #2 Â Posted June 23, 2011 I have the original X1. The 'Play' button acts like a conventional micro-switch and reverts to the normal position after activation. Looks like yours has some foreign matter clogging it within the housing. Have you tried gentle shaking; or brushing with a stiff artist's brush beside the button? loonger Posted June 25, 2011 Author Share #3 Â Posted June 25, 2011 Thanks David. You may be right. Don't know what is going on. Can't get it fixed by shaking or brushing. I think I need to send it for a repair...
