Does X1 lock-up when saving pictures?

I tried the X100 for a month and returned it because it locks up when saving pictures. The X100 takes 7-10 seconds to save a picture even on a fast SDHC card and during that time, you can't change the ISO, set the ND filter, move the auto-focus point, switch between the OVF/EVF/LCD, etc.

 

Does the X1 suffer from a similar problem? Specifically:

 

1. Can you change the camera settings while the X1 is saving an image?

 

2. How long does it take for the X1 to save an image on a fast SDHC card (eg., 30Mbps Sandisk Extreme Class 10)?

I'm using a SanDisk 20mb/s 8GB card and notice no lag or freeze on the camera to take the next picture while shooting raw+jpeg sfine. The green writing led is on for about a second, but you can take your next picture immediately with a changed settings.

Can you change all the camera settings while the green writing LED is on? For example, can you change the auto-focus point while the camera is writing or do you have to wait until the writing is done before the camera will respond?

I can refocus the camera while the green light is on. the camera doesn't lock up while writing, but as said, the writing doesn't take long at all: less than a second.

The camera can "lock" if continuous successive burst shots are being made, on single shot absolutely no discernible lag.
