damnsharp Posted June 20, 2011 Share #1 Â Posted June 20, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello everyone, In the months I use my X1 now I still have "case" problems. Normally I use my Leica X1 with the transport case (18709) but... I also have a viewfinder (Voightlander) and an Nikon UR-E8 tube against sunshine (and maybe for filters one time). I want a ready case where my X1 fits in with the VF and tube! Does anyone know a (e.g. old model) ready case where the X1 fits in? I think the problem lies in the back of the X1, how to get to the functions. I am curious how other forum members handle this "problem". Â Thanks. businessasusual Posted July 13, 2011 Share #2 Â Posted July 13, 2011 Hi, I have just received my Ciesta Half Case today - bought on eBay. Superb quality, great presentation with regards packaging and reasonably priced - about AUD $160 & del. Mine is black with red stitching to match Zhou case on M9 - it fits like a glove and looks superb. Did not go the grip route - feel hand strap and leather case give me traction I need without buliking up small camera. (Have VF - which will remain permanently attached but no Thumbs Up which I have on M9, this being a heavier camera - works well but not necessary on X1). This half case came with two tripod screws and so can be mounted witgout taking case off. Downside - with both cases - is replacing battery and SD cards - but if you operate efficiently, need to do this is minimal. (ie. 32Gb SD card and power saving re: dispaly etc). :)
