Adji.AP Posted June 17, 2011 Share #1 Posted June 17, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Let say, at a sunny bright afternoon, you need to get the effect of shallow DOF from your fast lenses, but your M camera's fastest speed is only up to 1/1000s, I would think that you will need an ND filters. Wouldn't it? What is recomended ND filters for 43mm lens? It's quite difficult to find one. Should I get a step-up ring instead and buy higher diameter filters? would it impedes the view finder area? thank you -adji

Xmas Posted June 17, 2011 Share #3 Posted June 17, 2011 Amazon in the UK list Tiffen filters in a 43mm size. Tiffen 43ND6 43mm Neutral Density 0.6 Filter: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics Nick If the lens is the 5cm pre asph lux then it needs 0.5 pitch threads rather then 0.75 pitch, and they need to be low profile to clear the standard hood as well. You can force on the wrong pitch filters but that will damage the threads. Noel
