Can't Turn off Focus Lock

Sorry to raise this again but holding down the 'Delete/Focus' button doesn't always turn off the focus lock on my X1 running V2 firmware. Currently the only way to turn it off appears to be to reset to Factory Settings in Profiles.

 

Does anyone else have this problem or am I being dumb? Or can atone suggest a remedy?

Try:-

Turn Camera Off -> Remove Battery -> Leave for a few minutes -> ReInsert Battery ->

Turn On Camera -> Try the Focus Lock On/Off..

If that does not work, Re Install V2....

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried this but it didn't make any difference. The camera was only bought recently so it already had V2 firmware installed.

 

I spoke to Leica Store today and they suggested I bring the camera in to them so will do so next week.

 

I will of course update this post once I get feedback from them.

Quick update on this.

 

Took camera back to Leica Store Mayfair - long story cut short is that it was a fault with the camera. Leica Store Mayfair exchanged the camera for me - extremely helpful there as always. :)

 

Focus lock can now be toggled on / off by holding 'delete - focus' button down for a couple of seconds.

 

All's well that ends well + had a great day out in London - will post photos shortly.
