shootinglulu Posted June 10, 2011 Share #1 Posted June 10, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) My M9 and 50 1.4 asph are back from Solmes, treated for flare problems I hope, but the scroll wheel is not functioning at all. I can use the arrows. Could this be a firmware problem?.This was upgraded while it was away. Advice appreciated, Thankyou:)
Advertisement Posted June 10, 2011 Posted June 10, 2011 Hi shootinglulu, Take a look here scroll wheel faulty. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wattsy Posted June 10, 2011 Share #2 Posted June 10, 2011 You might want to try rebooting the camera (take the battery out) but I fear your M9 will need to go gack to Germany. I might be tempted to live with the problem until there's a convenient time to be without the camera for a couple of weeks.
shootinglulu Posted June 10, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted June 10, 2011 I have been without the camera for 7 weeks, the idea of sending it back to Germany for a problem they caused- but don't admit to- is fustrating. Maybe they can fix it in Mayfair. Thanks for your reply. Lucy
k-hawinkler Posted June 10, 2011 Share #4 Posted June 10, 2011 Lucy, That's very annoying. Sorry, your camera has those problems. I have an intermittent problem with the arrow buttons. Your case doesn't give me confidence. Which FW version is on your camera? Best, K-H.
shootinglulu Posted June 10, 2011 Author Share #5 Posted June 10, 2011 Hi The firmware is 1.138..I spoke to Leica in Mayfair today and forgot to ask about it.. They are sending the M9 back to Germany and lending me another.. Scroll wheels/arrow problems sound like dodgy wiring problems but I know nothing:mad:,..hopefully easily cured..btw I never had problems with arrows or scroll wheel before Leica broke it!
