Just wanted to let everybody know that Im waiting to get my 2 MPs, 1 M6 and lenses back from Solms. The system is getting focus adjusted. Its a hard wait and it reminds me of when I quit smooking. Its a pain. Fingers is fiddly, sweat on my hands and I am having a hard time sitting still and I am even dreaming Im taking photos :)

Just wanted to let everybody know that you should use your camera as much as you can. You never know when you have to live without it :)

Last year I bought a M9, my first Leica. About five months later I bought a M7. The M7 didn't see much use until my M9 developed a fault in December, which meant that it had to go away over Christmas and New Year. I shot about five rolls of film in a month or so!

I discovered that I love the feeling of the M7, as the body is slimmer and somehow more balanced than the M9. And then there was that wonderful shutter sound, and the smooth wind of the advance lever. If they made a digital M7, shutter and advance lever and bodyshape, I would buy it in a second. So I agree, shoot and enjoy. Hope you'll have your gear back with you soon.

Luckily I have a loaner M5 from a man in my village. He does't use it so I can borrow it "until I don't need it any more". I also was lucky to find a current model 50mm summicron on a danish auction website listed at around 1.200 usd. Im in good shape until the rest of my gear comes back from Solms.

...any particular reason why you sent in your entire system at the same time?
