Nickers Posted June 6, 2011 Share #1 Posted June 6, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, this is my first post in this area of the forum and I hope there is a guru out there that can shed some light in the difference between the following images. The original image was taken on an M9 with current firmware, manual white balance set using Xrite grey card. Both images were uploaded straight from the SD card into each programme. I normally use Aperture exclusively but on this occasion (being so disappointed with the import and it being so different from the preview on the M9) I decided to see how Lightroom handled the files. To my surprise, and relief, the images imported properly. So. What's the difference? RAW converter? But why such a difference? Thanks, Nick

Thanks, Nick I suppose that the left image is the one processed with Aperture and the other with LR. That's why I left Aperture. And the right one looks more natural to me. Nickers Posted June 7, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted June 7, 2011 Yes, the green one is the Aperture import. I am very pleased with Aperture generally, other than this oddity, I find it's functionality and workspace more user friendly. Its a good job I have both otherwise this image and 60 others like it would be in the trash. Nick
