Advertisement Posted June 3, 2011 Posted June 3, 2011 Hi Twotone, Take a look here Early Morning blooms. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
k-hawinkler Posted June 4, 2011 Share #2 Posted June 4, 2011 Very nice images. I would like to see the flowers larger. One suggestion would be to crop some at the top and to the right. Thanks, K-H.
Twotone Posted June 4, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted June 4, 2011 Thanks for the input K-H. I'm somewhat limited with the 50mm cron with respect to getting in close to the likes of flowers so I'm seriously thinking about getting a 90mm lens for these types of shots. pauledell Posted June 5, 2011 Share #4 Posted June 5, 2011 Wonderful use of the sunlight. The greens have a glow about them like they are alive and the flowers are perfect. The dark background works well. Fine composition, tones, sharpness. Paul
Twotone Posted June 5, 2011 Author Share #5 Posted June 5, 2011 Thanks Paul for the kind comments. That's exactly how I wanted to the photo to be, I wanted the blackness in the background to make the flowers and the bush stand out on it's own so I tried to underexpose the shadow area which is the opposite of what your supposed to do with B&W I believe. The film (Ilford Super XPS 400 asa) is excellent though, I mean you can mess the exposure up and the photo still looks good. Regards, Tony
