ISO 1600 issues

I recently bought an X1 and have had limited play time with it. However, last night, while running through the different ISOs in low light, I got this bad green cast over the image while shooting at 1600, tried both auto WB and tungsten. It happens only with 1600 and seems to be only with single shot, not continuous shooting. It is also very slow to record the image. The cs is almost immediate.

Is this normal? I'm leaving in a week for Italy so I need to either send it back now or learn to live with it.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, If it happened only once, I would call the seller & if they can exchange immediately & go for that, if not, tell them to record the issue & you will change the camera on your return..

I cant get mine to produce a green cast, so it doesnt appear to be normal. Write time is quick too, less than a second.

It might be worth resetting to factory settings (in the user profile section of the menu) and trying again just incase something has been messed up while you were playing.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try all of your ideas. I bought it from Amazon, so returns shouldn't be a problem. It's wierd. It doesn't happen all of the time but mostly on single focus, never on continuous, and it happens when I aim at a particularly dark subject.

My local camera guy suggested trying the firmware update. I hadn't yet done that. I'll let you all know how it turns out. thanks again.
