Advertisement Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Hi ezc203, Take a look here The risks of owing an X1. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
thybo Posted May 25, 2011 Share #22  Posted May 25, 2011 Any camera can develop sensor issues. There have been x1's involved in bike accidents escape relatively unscathed ( forum.com/leica-forum/leica-x1-forum/171986-x1-one-tough-camera.html#post1643703 ) you are right 2 x1's with apparent sensor issues are "more X1´s with sensor problems" but it means nothing. - So who are You to decide what is an issue or not ? Well If it means nothing to You - why do you make comments then. - it means something to me/others anyway. ? Ok - I thought that one could discuss problems in this forum. But if not - I´m off the topic. Off to buy a camera that works.
lykaman Posted May 25, 2011 Share #23 Â Posted May 25, 2011 Hi All, there may not be many X1's or other Leicas that are having issues, but, to the owners of those cameras it is a Big deal. Hard earned money spent on a premium product I feel entitles the owner of the item to have a good moan. But excessive & continual ranting that All Products by the relevant manufacturer are sub standard is a No No. Even the 35mm Leicas had mechanical issues as did their lenses. flash units and many other Leica products. If the situation is at the point of considering litigation STOP posting & get on with it. No forum has a magic switch to cure ills. There is though Friendlyadvice in abundence. NZDavid Posted May 26, 2011 Share #24 Â Posted May 26, 2011 I wonder if the risks of owing an X1 would be worse than the risks of owning an X1?
tbutt Posted May 26, 2011 Share #25 Â Posted May 26, 2011 [*] Back panel was flashing just prior to shooting a picture. Â This I also observed but AFTER the upgrade to 2.0. Did anybody else made that observation? Â Tom
prk60091 Posted May 26, 2011 Share #26  Posted May 26, 2011 This I also observed but AFTER the upgrade to 2.0. Did anybody else made that observation? Tom  i hav noticed the flash as well intermittently after the 2.0 upgrade... it DOES NOT effect the image quality the 2-3 times i have noticed it (ie it is very intermittent and i have not seen it enough for me to say every time i do "x" it happens.....
