I saw a break in the rain this afternoon and decided to take a quick drive with my son to see what I could find to take some pictures of. This is Northwest Cove, about half an hour from Chester NS.

Nothing fancy done here, just 50mm Summicron, f8 and be there :) I didn't use any grads or polarizers. This is just what I got with a staight capture on the DMR and RAw conversion in Lightroom. The sun was only out for about ten seconds for this shot.

The 50mm Summicron is an amazing lens for the price isn't it. I bought mine for use on the R8/5D for just over $200. Best $200 I've ever spent on a lens :-)

It was a bit of a letdown at f2, since I was used to shooting the new 50mm summilux, but once you stop it down, it is faboulous accross the frame. At f2 it is fine in the middle, jut not as good as the summilux all across the frame.
