mgreernz Posted May 14, 2011 Share #1 Posted May 14, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) My M3 has just come back from a comprehensive CLA by Sherry Krauter - and, as always with Sherry, it was 110% when it arrived back. So no complaint there. But on the first photo-shoot, its rangefinder has suddenly and significantly gone out of adjustment, both on the vertical and horizontal. The vertical is so significantly out of adjustment (at all distances) that it made focus alignment very difficult. I'm well used to making the odd minor horizontal adjustment to my IIIf and M3 rangefinders. But I've never had the vertical adjustment go out on a rangefinder before - and I'm certainly not aware of any bump or bang the M3 might have sustained. Although I've read up on how to make the vertical adjustment, I'm a bit loath to push my luck and fortunately, it's something that can be dealt with here in NZ. But before I send it off (for what I am sure will be an expensive little trip), is there anything deep within the bowels of an M3 that might potentially contribute to a problem like this and about which I ought to be aware?
