I would say the Lux is softer at 1.4 to 2.8 and about F4 they become very close. I bought the lux for the wide open look and i think it has less contrast in the wide side also . Still playing with it. It is the toughest to focus because it is stiff compared to a Cron which is smoother but most Lux lenses are like that. I shot 240 head shots last night and did not miss a one and it was pretty dim. I am used too shooting the 80 lux from the R so for me it is normal. The 90 apo , 75 apo are smoother to focus

Woody, I suppose that however good a vendor is, there will always be bad experiences. Their feedback is 99.7%, 3 negatives and 1760 positives in the last month, so not too bad. I've spent $20k+ with them in the last year, 7 separate transactions and they've been perfect but I'm sorry to hear of your bad experience.
