Advertisement Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Hi Karl-Albert, Take a look here maple leaves. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
tmldds Posted May 10, 2011 Share #2 Â Posted May 10, 2011 The reflection is so full of nice details. IMHO, I would crop off the top 1/3 of the photo because its brightness pulls the eyes toward it instead of the more interesting reflections. pauledell Posted May 10, 2011 Share #6 Â Posted May 10, 2011 Karl-Albert, Â A fine shot with the composition, colors, reflection and sharpness. The highlights on the leaves are too high and would be better if you could tone them down with post-processing. I normally agree with Tri, but I like your original version better. Karl-Albert Posted May 10, 2011 Author Share #7 Â Posted May 10, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello Paul thank you for your comment, Â There is not much i can do against the extreme highlights, these exceed the luminance range of the camera (DNG format) at all colors , but are here as percieved when i saw the reflection. Â I have tried several speeds, stops and ISO combinations but either i loose the shadows or the highlights or both, so i decided to loose the highlights, i deemed the shadows are here more important for the atmosphere.
