Leica M9 with CV 28 on, Summicron 50, CV 75 and Zeiss 18, a small notebook, and a few small gadgets as Viewfinder 18 and 28, magnifier, etc. I have customized it a little bit inside with separation-pads I had here. Well made, and I really don't have a mid sized bag for my Leica setup- this should do fine. Three gray thin separators came in the bag, wrapped in their own plastic. While I would like additional separators to the two that are already installed (full height, brown-gray and thicker), the orientation of the velcro on these three thin ones has me baffled. The velcro on the bag is only on the sides, and these 3 dividers are wider than the bag, a different color, only 2-3" high with velcro on their short sides. Any thoughts on these? I stack my lenses with double ended end caps. Never liked digging in a bag, lifting flaps, etc. (Being a different color, material and thickness, they look like they were put in by mistake. I don't have an SF58, but it holds a Vivitar 285HV fine on one of the sides of the main compartment where @bumac has his lenses stashed. There are other bags of this size, but most are too formal for my tastes or they look looks like I am ready for a hunt cup race (definitely an American point of view ). I do have a CourierWare bag of this size which I like, but I unfortunately found the padding was not adequate- an expensive trip to Leica for one of my lenses. This bag is well padded. I have a small bag for just one camera+lens and some film, and a Timbuk2 bag that I converted into camera bag that holds a good deal more stuff (2 cameras, 4-5 lenses, filters, 20-30 rolls of film, books, etc.). This is the perfect middle ground. I wrote some of my thoughts over on RFF yesterday, but the long and short of it is the following: I can easily fit 2 cameras with lenses mounted and two other normal sized lenses. As long as I'm not using the 75/1.4, everything works pretty well. If I want the 75/1.4 in the bag, it either occupies the spot of 2 of my lenses (taking up essentially one third of the bag) OR it has be mounted on the camera. However, when it's mounted, it won't fit in the bag like @bumac has his camera stored; it's too long. It has to go lens down. It fits fine this way, but it covers up the slot where the two lenses are stored. I assume owners of 135's, 90 Summicrons, and maybe even the 75 Summicron will have similar issues with these lenses. With either of the above setups, all of my film goes in the front pocket. I can fit about 12-15 rolls in there comfortably. I also have a small notebook, a short cable release, a couple of lens caps, a couple of filters, spare batteries, and an external finder stashed in the bag. You could squeeze another couple rolls into the main compartment if you didn't mind sticking film in every available corner and not having direct access to all of the equipment stored. Of course, if you left out either one of the cameras or the extra lenses, you could stash a lot of film, a flash, or whatever else you want in that third of the bag. I think this will work pretty well for me for a travel bag. When I'm out, I don't need to carry ALL of my film - 15 should get me through most days. The extra film can be carried about in another bag and left at the hotel. Of course you M9/M8 guys don't have to worry about that, but I don't have to worry about laptops, chargers, and hard drives . I also don't foresee traveling much with the 75/1.4, which frees up some space. I highly recommend this bag so far. I'm glad I didn't order the 10 and waited for them to come out with the 5. My only gripe was that since they're hand made, I had a tiny stitching goof that stuck out. Fortunately, they issued a call tag and got it replaced quickly. If you guys order thru leicarumors.com, you can get a free gift (code automatically used when clicking through). The bag fits my M9 + 50 lux ready to shoot. Also on each side, room for extra lenses or my D-Lux 4 or X100 (depending on situation)... Still plenty of room for travel essentials, yet small enough to stuff in a larger bag when boarding a plane, etc... Best of all, it's versatile enough for any kit... I could carry all my gear on a trip and one day take my M9 + 0 lux... or another day switch to my D700 and 35/85 1.4 (maybe even both??) or just carry my compact cameras. The quality is definitely far above any other bag I've used... (My first Think Tank Photo bag) My only other gripes are quite minor. The interior zipper is precariously close to where you store your camera (especially if you're using a DSLR). Also, there is a strap with metal hook for a key that could hit something if you're not too careful. If it were another half an inch wider, you could fit an iPad (real quick) sticking out of the exterior zipper pocket. All and all, an amazing bag!
