symmetron Posted May 7, 2011 Share #1 Â Posted May 7, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just got it today after almost buying an M8. Previously owned and sold M6 and MP and now I remember why; just couldn't get used to the RF. Â Anyway, I noticed on the X1 that when focusing using AF mode, the camera makes some noise when trying to focus. Same when using it in MF mode when adjusting the focus point. Is that normal? Solar B Posted May 7, 2011 Share #3 Â Posted May 7, 2011 Completely normal and the green LED by the hotshoe should illuminate to show the camera has focussed , but i know what you mean as the X1 tends to make more noise and its body vibrates slightly more than other digital cameras i have used when focussing. secondhandsmoke Posted May 21, 2011 Share #4 Â Posted May 21, 2011 hi guys, i also got an x1 recently. Still doesn't know my way around x1. Â I was reading the manual with regard to 1 point and spot mode. It says in the manual: Use the direction buttons to move AF frame to the desired position. I tried clicking the direction buttons, however the AF frame remains in the middle. Â Firmware is upgraded to 2.0 Â Thanks.
