shinglj Posted May 1, 2011 Share #1 Posted May 1, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) Well not exactly and an X1 would not be my camera of choice if I was seriously shooting surfing but I just took mine out on a spectacular Sunday morning here in Australia and I came back with some images which really show how good the X1 can be -including some action .Images too big for the forum so please see The Rolling Road shinglj
Advertisement Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Hi shinglj, Take a look here X1 -Let's go surfing. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Photoskeptic Posted May 1, 2011 Share #2 Posted May 1, 2011 Interesting shots. Cropped or pano? The purple fringing in the second shot ruins it. Can you get rid of it in pp?
pauledell Posted May 1, 2011 Share #3 Posted May 1, 2011 The first two pictures of the surfers are wonderful with the composition, use of the sunlight and the clarity. Paul
Feudal1 Posted May 2, 2011 Share #4 Posted May 2, 2011 Nice set of shots. The color and clarity is excellent. The first shot is especially good.
shinglj Posted May 2, 2011 Author Share #5 Posted May 2, 2011 The purple fringing is no more. I had inadvertantly posted the wrong image on the blog and not noticed .I was too anxious to get a beer after a day in the sun and salt spray.Thank you for pointing it out John. The panorama is cropped -- sadly the X1 is just too slow to be able to make panoramas of dynamic scenes . shinglj The Rolling Road
