Xmas Posted April 23, 2011 Share #21 Posted April 23, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) It hurts to laugh, so I'm fostering the grumpy side of my personality. It doesn't really work...saving up right now to replace the old 35mm Summilux. Hi Pico That is not funny... Was the lux also damaged in the accident? They are collectors now, I now use a CV 40mm f/1.4 SC that is similar in use, the 35mm distorts too much and the 40 was only a little bit more than I paid for the lux new in '71. Noel Yes, the Summilux was badly damaged. It's version 2, and I got it about the same time you got yours, but used. I call it my worst lens that I liked the most. I gave it to an associate who likes to experiment with broken things, as long as they are free.
Xmas Posted April 23, 2011 Share #23 Posted April 23, 2011 Hi Pico That is terrible, I tend to leave mine at home as it is a collector, and use the CV 40, a J12, or CV 35mm f/2.5. Getting another lux in new condition would be >>£. Better soon Noel

We use my wife's best collection of dining ware, and about everything others just keep on display. May as well enjoy it all. I do pamper a Deardorff 8x10, but even if I dent it up I won't feel too bad. I just wish I could find out what's wrong with my pristine 1958 VW sedan.
